ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREK IN NEPAL is Life Changing
ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT – Trekking the Himalayas
The amazing Himalaya! If you are traveling to Tibet, Bhutan or Nepal, no trip is complete without getting up close to at least one of the main peaks in the Himalaya. A trekkers’ paradise, Nepal combines Himalayan views, golden temples, charming hill villages and jungle wildlife watching to offer one of the world’s great travel destinations.
Probably the most popular reason people go to Nepal is to see the world’s highest and most spectacular mountain range.
A magic mountain in Nepal called Annapurna
Most hikers think of Kathmandu and Everest when they hear the word Nepal, but Annapurna (close to Pokhara) has been a more popular destination. The Annapurna Circuit is a trek within the Annapurna mountain range of central Nepal. It is a stunning blend of flame-red rhododendron forests, shady stands of oak, crystal-clear alpine rivers, ancient teahouses and jagged Himalayan peaks. It’s a demanding trek, but the rewards speak for themselves. Visit tiny mountain hamlets, sample local delicacies and bathe in steaming thermal hot springs beneath an impossible blue sky.
The Annapurna Circuit – rightly known as Nepal’s classic trek – offers more variety than any other equivalent length trek, taking us through virtually every type of scenery that Nepal has to offer. There are superb views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri and an amazing variety of landscapes ranging from sub-tropical through alpine peaks to an arid semi-desert akin to Tibet.
The Annapurna region is best described as the most happening incentive trekking destination of Nepal. It has been proved as a highly praised and spectacular trekking route in the Annapurna region since it opened to foreign trekkers in 1977. This three weeks trek starts right from Besishahar and goes along the Marshyangdi River, with great view of Manashlu and Himal Chuli to the east. This magnificent trek leads you to the fine village inhabited by a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups, offering spectacular and majestic view of the white Himalayas. As it continues to the north of the main Himalayan range on to the high and dry Tibetan Plateau, the scenery is equally breathtaking.
The highest point of the trek is Thorung La pass at the top of the valley at 5416m high. Due to the difficulties of crossing the pass, the circuit is usually walked in a counter clockwise direction. Traveling clockwise the longer ascent and shorter descent from west to east is too much for many peoples to manage in one day. To top it all, the crossing of the Thorong La pass (5,416m) is a challenging ascent, surrounded by some of the most magnificent.
Full of varied terrain, amazing wildlife and unforgettable views, Nepal’s Annapurna Circuit ranks among Backpackers’s top hikes. Annapurna has become a popular trekking destination among various travelers who seek the best out of what Nepal and the Himalayan culture it has to offer. This is one of the most geographically and culturally diverse regions for trekking. You will have an easy walk to begin with, before the path connects Kaligandaki to the Marsyangdi River valley. The Annapurna Circuit trek offers an extraordinary panorama of Annapurna (8,097 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Manaslu, Machhapuchhre and Tukuche together with many other stunning peaks in the background. During the trek you will not only experience great trekking but also visit natural hot springs, see the world’s deepest Gorge named the Kali Gandaki gorge, visit the world’s highest altitude lake (Tilicho Lake), see many varying landscapes and stunning waterfalls (including the Ruptse waterfall). Overall, this is a very rewarding trekking experience and we look forward to give you a fantastic trip.
Annapurna circuit trek starts from khudi near Besi Sahar Lamjung and passes through the world’s deepest George Kali Gandaki flanked by the giant Dhaulagiri from west to the Annapurna range at the east. Apart from the attractive view of Himalayas and the deepest George, while on Round Annapurna trek you will meet ten different ethnics group and four different climatic region. Of all the trekking regions of Nepal, the most popular is the Annapurna Region. The starting point for trekking Annapurna is the city of Pokhara, located in central Nepal. The Annapurna Region offers treks ranging from 4 days to Poon Hill to 18 days if you do the complete Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Of the 5 countries where the Himalaya Mountains are found, the best trekking is found in Nepal, in my opinion. Whether you are trekking in Dolpo, Upper Mustang, Langtang, Annapurna or the Everest Region, you are going to have a fantastic adventure.
