The old town of Tbilisi is filled with history. The town sits in a valley, cut through by the Mtkvari River and backed by small mountains. You can discover the city by taking long walks or bike. Cute little alleys and streets all over the city. People are friendly, the beer is good and cheap, so is the food. The cuisine in Georgia is very unique, with both European and Middle Eastern influences. The national dish is called Khinkali.
Kazbegi is a beautiful city.
Historical attractions can be found right in the center of Kazbegi. The Alexander Kazbegi Statue is in Kazbegi’s main square right in the heart of the town. Approximately 300 meters north of the main square you’ll find the Archangel Gabriel Church and Kazbegi Museum. You can easily spend an entire day right in Kazbegi’s main square.
You can not go to Kazbegi without visiting the Trinity Church. The church is a popular waypoint for trekkers in the area and can be reached by a steep tree hour climb up the mountain or around 30 minutes by jeep up a rough mountain trail. Stunning landscapes await for you in this beautiful part of Georgia.
