Alkendi is known for the amazing locations he visits and photographs, specifically Iceland. His award wining photography translated the nature’s beauty to so many people in his region and inspired them to plan on visiting these locations themselves!
He has been featured in many Tv interviews, local newspapers, and articles.
on this epic workshop you will see the most beautiful landscape of the world, From stark and stunning black sand beaches and bubbling hot springs to the icy Jökulsárlón and Fjallsárlón glacier lagoons to the classic Golden Circle, the south coast is a wealth of wonders and much more.
Arrival to Keflavik
We will pick you up from the airport between 02:00pm-05:00pm (Local Time) and will head directly to our stay near the airport (a beautiful two floors apartment in a small farm) so everyone can have a rest from the flight and prepare for our rich and strong start. there will be a drive to the Hypermarket so everyone gets their food and needs for the coming few days while we will be camping.

We will have a long drive through the golden circle where we will be going through :
⁃ The beautiful lush green fields and volcanic rocks of Pingvellir Nationa Park
⁃ The Colorful Bruarfoss
⁃ The Historical Geysir (Lunch Stop),
⁃ One of the biggest waterfall in Iceland “Gullfoss”
We will be camping overnight in a campsite near the secret lagoon
Seljalandfoss, Skogafoss & two hidden waterfalls
The day begin with us packing our tents and heading back to Gysir to eat (optional) then driving straight to our next camp site near one of the iconic and most beautiful waterfall in Iceland “Seljalandfoss”. After setting our camp we will be leaving the location and going towards the most photographed waterfall in Iceland “Skogafoss” and another hidden waterfall nearby as well.
Once done we will head back to our camp to cook our own pasta (optional) and wait for the sunset to start shooting Seljalandfoss and the Hidden waterfall next to it. After that we call it a day and go to rest.
Black Sand Beach & Vik
We start as usual, packing our gear and heading for the famous Black sand beach and then we will have our lunch at VIK in one of the famous local restaurants. They serve delicious burgers and fish dishes =). After that we will drive our way to either Fjadrargljufur or pakgil and then drive to our next camping site in Skaftafell National Park. (Optional: shooting sunset at hofskirkja nearby).

Jokulsarlon and Crystal Beach
We begin our day with a nice hike up the mountain towards Svartifoss, a natural beauty to the eyes and ears (optional). Once we are done, we will head back to our camp and pack our things and visit the famous Truck stop restaurant to taste their amazing dishes. After that we will drive until we reach Jokulsarlon, we will have a quick look on the site and continue our way to our hotel stay in the area. everyone can have their usual warm shower, and comfortable bed and recharge batteries if needed as we will be going back to jokulsarlon to shoot the sunset and switch to the Crystal beach and shoot the sunrise. Vestrahorn is optional if we had more time.
We will then go back and rest as we will be having a very long drive the next day all the way to the North! (longest Drive)
South to North!
We will having the longest drive today from south to north until we reach lake myvatn, on the way we will come across few beautiful locations which we may quickly stop to see them and be on our way. Once we reach the north we will first set our camp for the day and then head out for few unique locations. The first and the most unique of all is “Hverir” where it looks like MARS! We will make sure that we visit the location before sunset to get the best light possible. we will have a quick stop over the game of thrones cave and see what may interest you around in Myvatn.
Then we go back to our camp to rest for the night.
Akureyri – The Capital of the North
Today is a well deserved rest day.
We will be checking in our stay in Akureyri and start a very productive post processing session using the one of the shots we captured so far. never underestimate the impact of a well edited image. So its expected that everyone has their laptops with Lightroom cc and photoshop cc installed otherwise you will be missing a lot =).
later on we will be delighting ourselves with some ice-cream from the famous local ice-cream shop in town and its actually everyones favorite. After that we will visit Godafoss to shoot the sunset and head back to rest at our stay.
Snaefellsnes Peninsula (The West)
We have a long way drive after we check out of our stay in akureyri.
We will be heading to west Iceland (snaefellsnes peninsula) and will explore Arnarstrapi and shoot the sunset there, after that we will go to famous Kirkjufell mountain to shoot the sunrise. today we have the option of camping near kirkjufell in the open or as go for the campsite in Grundafurdur.
Hraunfossar to the Old Lighthouse
After shooting the sunrise in kirkjufell and resting afterwards. We will pack our things and head towards Hraunfossar. A famous waterfall with lots of cascaded tiny waterfalls all around. After that we drive to Akraness to see one of the oldest lighthouses in Iceland and shoot in sunset or sunrise (optional) and we will be staying at the campsite nearby for our final camp in Iceland.
We will pack our things and head directly to Reykjavik. This is our last day in Iceland and it should be a relaxing day discovering the downtown area of the beautiful capital. We will have our lunch in one of the best restaurants in Iceland and after that we will drop a visit to the famous church in the capital and wonder around for a while before heading to our stay in Keflavik near the Airport (30mins Drive). Everyone will have time to rest, shower and maybe visit one more location near our apartment (The Bridge connecting Europe and Americas tectonic plates)!
We will be heading to the airport early morning around 4:45am to be able to return the cars and catch up with our flights.
